How to Play
First steps
Your first step to playing Ranked in Quantum is learning the basics of scrimming. Without this knowledge, you’ll drag your team down, and it will be a messy situation. In the how-to-scrim channel, there are multiple useful videos that explain how scrims work. If you don’t know how to scrim or aren’t completely sure, we would appreciate it if you took some time to familiarize yourself with how scrims work and how the game is played.
Registering
First, read the rules in home for this server and scrimming. Then, head over to register and type “=register [your IGN].” Doing this will link the Xbox account you use to play Minecraft with your Discord account. Once you are registered, you will start with 0 Elo and be able to join the queue to start playing Ranked.
Queueing & Picking
After registering your account, you will be given permission to join the queue. When there are 8 players in the queue, the bot will randomly assign 2 team captains, move you to a game VC, and create a game channel for the players to talk in. In the game channel, the team captains will choose players for their teams. First, Captain 1 will pick 1 player, then Captain 2 will pick 2 players, followed by Captain 1 picking 2 more players. The final player who hasn’t been chosen will be assigned to the team with Captain 2. If you are one of the team captains, you will pick players by clicking on the dropdown menu in the embed that the Discord Bot sends, and choosing your players.
Joining & Playing
Once the teams have been picked, go to the Minecraft Bedrock’s featured server, The Hive. The two team captains will then create separate parties for their teams. Once each team is in their party, Captain 1 will create a Treasure Wars Squads Custom Server using the /cs command on The Hive. Captain 1 will set the Custom Server to “Open To All” and will use the /p teleport command to warp their party into the game. Captain 1 will then send an invite to Captain 2, and once Captain 2 joins, they will warp their party into the game. The order of maps played is as follows: Temple, Spring, Rome, and Ruins. If another map is needed, the two teams can come to an agreement on a map that has not already been played. On Temple and Spring, the teams are Red and Blue, so no teams will need to be set by the owner of the Custom Server. However, on Rome and Ruins, one team will need to be set to Yellow, as the teams are Red and Yellow. After everything is ready, Captain 1 will start the game. Repeat this process until one team has won 3 times.
Ending & Scoring a Game
Once one team has won 3 times, the Ranked Scrim is over, and that team is the winner. One of the players will then use the =submit command in the game channel and submit a screenshot of the chat messages at the end of the final game, showing the losing team’s treasure being broken, the final kills, and the end-of-game message. You only need to include one image in the command, but please provide the other images from the ends of the previous Treasure Wars games after entering the command.
Once a game is scored, the game channel and VC will be deleted, and you and the other players will be sent to the Waiting Room VC. If you wish to queue again, you may join the Queue VC. After the game is submitted, a verified scorer will view the submission and score the game accordingly. Scoring usually happens quickly, but sometimes it may take up to an hour. If scoring a game takes an hour or more, you can create a ticket to explain the situation. If a game needs to be voided for any reason, use the =void command. Once 6 out of 8 players vote "Yes," the game will be voided. Please only void games if there is a legitimate situation, like a player leaving.
How Elo Works
Elo is based on winning and losing games. If you win a game, your Elo will increase once the game is scored. If you lose the game, your Elo will decrease after scoring. If your Elo doesn’t update after your game is scored, go to commands and use the “=refresh” command.
